Dove “Promises” Message

I have randomly decided to collectively record all the Dove “Promises” messages I come across upon eating the piece of chocolate :) Just for funsies!

  • A smile is the perfect gift, personal and encouraging.
  • Miracles aren’t limited to the holidays.
  • Spending time is a greatest gift than spending money. x2
  • Holiday magic starts from within. x2
  • Your presence is often the best present.
  • Keep believing in yourself and your dreams.
  • Promise yourself some relaxing holiday moments.
  • Seek out small pleasures.
  • It’s OK to slow down.
  • Togetherness in itself is a holiday treat.
  • Give yourself permission.

Dear Stupid Customers,

It is NOT okay to come in four minutes before closing and EAT IN. First of all, it’s annoying enough that they come so last minute, especially since the chefs and I have to stay longer than we have to, but what the hell makes them think that it would be perfectly fine to STAY AND FINISH THEIR MEAL!?! Honestly…I don’t understand -___- When we say we’re CLOSED, that means we are no longer open for service, which is NOT an invitation to get comfortable and happily enjoy your meal. It is even more annoying if the customers are unbearably obnoxious and/or fobby and unable to speak proper comprehensible English. It may be a lot more dead at work, but that does not mean there will be less annoying customers -__-

This is my first rant of the New Year! HURRAY!

Conclusion of 2011:

Upon the end of every December, I’m always so surprised at how quickly the year passes by. If only time could just slow down a bit, so I could truly take in and appreciate everything that happens in my life. Everything seems to happen in a blink of an eye, which makes it harder for me to maintain enough storage space in my memory. It’s sad how memories fade as time flies, and it’s really true that a “picture is worth a thousand words,” so I want to make sure that I capture almost every moment of my life with the people I share it with no matter how seemingly insignificant :) That is one goal that I wish to achieve throughout my lifetime, and I suppose can be considered part  of my “new years resolution,” but not really. Other resolutions: consistently perform my nightly routine before sleeping, go to the arc at least once a week, NOT buy anythingg at all for myself unless it’s absolutely necessary like shampoo….or something, only eat out at most three times in a month, and I guess the typical one, be (more) happy.

2011 overall, I would consider….a handful: stressing over college apps and acceptances, ending my term as Key Club President like a boss, going crazy trying to find a job, trying to depend on my brother as little as possible, ending a relationship and dealing with the aftermath, surviving the annoyingly tedious and time consuming pledging process, and of course, doing very poorly academically. A lot has happened this year, and yeah, I admit that it was all a giant pain in the ass, but these experiences have helped me learn more about myself. I haven’t completely figured out my life just yet, but that is what makes the new year so appealing. Come at me 2012, I’m ready and looking forward to everything you have to offer :)

Cheers to the New Years everyone!
